"The peace and tranquility, it has an excellent restaurant and is set in a lovely village. The breakfast is good but not a lot of choice in cereals or bread. The spa is a nice touch after a day sightseeing. "

"No bar facilities open, we arrived New Years Eve in the evening and was told we couldn't sit in the restaurant area or terrace and have a drink unless we had the special meal which was very expensive. The spa had lots of facilities not working ie; no steam room or jacuzzi working. The car park is at the bottom of a very steep hill, not really for disabled clients. The furnishings seem a little dated now and there was a lot of damp on the bedroom wall. We visited this hotel 6 years ago and loved it but it seems to have lost its sparkle."

"Very difficult finding our way into the hotel as we accessed it from Car park downstairs, not the best welcome at reception on arrival,maybe it’s a Spanish thing but hotels in Ireland are so friendly on check in and I guess we always expect that, no bar open for drinks which was disappointing but realise it’s winter time,"

"We have stayed in the hotel many times but this time the standard has dropped the cleaning off the room left a lot to be desired.We where there for a week and the bed sheets were not changed also people were allowed to wander around the hotel mostly not wearing masks touching everything on the terrace there was no hand gel to be seen disappointed especially with Covid-19 still rife "

"My sheets had holes in it and were not changed for my whole stat 5 nights.our friends towels also had holes in them water pressure very low.only shampoo provided 5 bottles no shower or bath wash. No atmosphere we were so looking forward to staying with you we have been coming to the pueblo for many years always wanted to at la Fonda but financially not possible it was my my 66th birthday so a special trip I was very surprised at the way things were, we have always recommended the hotel to lot’s of people and they were all happy but for us I wouldn’t stay again at the price we paid expected better."
